Our goal is to Insulate Ukraine. We see a Ukraine in which a shattered window doesn’t mean one has to sleep in their bathtub to stay warm. We intend to have hubs across Ukraine from where we can replace any shattered window with our solution within 24 hours by simply providing the required equipment.
Much of the power in our solution lies in its simplicity. We have taught locals to build these windows and supplied them with materials. This has resulted in two villages we have never been to having been reinsulated using Insulate Ukraine windows. By setting an example and providing others with all they need to follow suit, we can Insulate Ukraine.
The ingenuity of our solution gives us the opportunity to solve the problem of shattered windows across the entirety of Ukraine. We intend to deliver on this opportunity, but we need your help.
We bring warmth, light, and safety to war-impacted homes with an innovative window developed with the help of engineers from the University of Cambridge. To date, we’ve installed more than 6,000 windows in cities across Ukraine. Each of our projects provides employment to financially destitute areas, empowering local communities.
Insulate Ukraine’s (IU) journey began with the development of the IU window in Cambridge, followed by successful pilots and grant partnerships that established operations in various Ukrainian cities. Our future plans are focused on facilitating the nationwide rollout of the IU Emergency Window Repair Kit in 2024.
